The 2016 Jackson County Fair opens Sunday, August 7th at the Jackson County Fairgrounds. Once again this year, The Loyal Handyman General Contracting continues its sponsorship of the Fair. According to firm President Tim Horsch, the Fair is one of Jackson County’s treasures and sponsorship by area companies is critical to the Fair’s success. “I have so many childhood memories of the Fair and it is important to me this great tradition continues.” said Horsch. “I’ve worked closely with Denise Owens, Fair Manager and the Fair Board for many years, helping out where we can. As a sponsor, I know young farmers will be able to show their animals and projects at the fair and top attractions will continue to play the fair.” he said.
This year the fair features great acts like Jeff Dunham, Nelly, Vanilla Ice and Five Finger Death Punch. With shows every night, there is something for everyone. The Herman Gumper stage will feature several free acts over the course of the week, including a Country Western Show and an Elvis Show.
Fair visitors will notice several new features and improvements to the grounds, made possible in part by The Loyal Handyman General Contracting and other sponsors. Building improvements and more flower displays throughout the grounds have made the fair more attractive this year.
